Softball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Hononegah hit Freeport with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pretzels fell 7-4 to the Indians. The defeat continues a trend for the Pretzels in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

Freeport saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Di'Mya Leiser, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Hononegah, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.
