Basketball Recap: Virginia Episcopal School's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Virginia Episcopal School had lost five straight headed into Friday's game, but Kaloyan Kolev didn't let it get to six. The Virginia Episcopal School Bishops blew past The Covenant Eagles 60-29 on Friday thanks in part to Kolev, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Virginia Episcopal School's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for The Covenant, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Virginia Episcopal School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-51 loss against The Carmel School on the 25th. The Covenant has also already played their next game (against Tandem Friends), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
