Volleyball Recap: Alvord Comes Up Short

Alvord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponder Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8.

Alvord's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ponder, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Alvord has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lindsay on the 23rd. As for Ponder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Godley on the 23rd.
