Soccer Game Preview: Arvada West vs. Pine Creek

The Arvada West Wildcats will face off against the Pine Creek Eagles on Wednesday. Arvada West's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Arvada West is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Ralston Valley on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Arvada West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Ralston Valley are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Pine Creek waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Titans a 3-0 shutout. Considering Pine Creek have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit The Classical Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jackson Kiefner, Chase Puddy, and Max Kelly.

Arvada West's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-3. As for Pine Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2-3.
