Baseball Recap: Granger Find Success

While Granger's victory against Kearns wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Cougars 6-5 on Thursday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Gabriel Guerra looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Max Pace was a standout: he scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Hopkin, who scored two runs and stole four bases.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Kearns, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Granger will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
