Basketball Recap: Houston Find Success

Memphis University School typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Houston proved too difficult a challenge. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 49-48 win over the Memphis University School Owls. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Owls are ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Houston is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Memphis University School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Houston has already played their next contest (against Collierville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Memphis University School Owls face off against the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
