Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Alemany Warriors vs. Notre Dame (SO) Knights

Bishop Alemany is 0-10 against Notre Dame (SO) since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. Bishop Alemany will host Notre Dame (SO) at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayden Lusk, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Notre Dame (SO), who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Stockdale a 3-0 shutout on Friday.

AJ LaSota tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dominic Cadiz was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

Notre Dame (SO)'s victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Bishop Alemany, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
