Volleyball Recap: Westfield Bombers vs. Longmeadow Lancers
Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Longmeadow Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bombers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Longmeadow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ari Sluis, who had seven digs and three aces. Sluis is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.
Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Longmeadow, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
