Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Oak). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Callisburg Wildcats a 16-0 shutout on Friday. While the Buffaloes didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lone Oak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Callisburg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Lone Oak and Callisburg will both be playing Celeste the next time they take the field. Lone Oak will head out to face Celeste at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, while Callisburg will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
