Basketball Recap: Haslett Comes Up Short

Haslett had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-8 to make it four. They were beaten by the Frankenmuth Eagles 65-38. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.

As for Frankenmuth, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.5 points this season.

Frankenmuth was led to victory by Landon Jacobs and Cash Tedford. Jacobs shot 53% from the field on his way to 19 points along with six boards and five assists, while Tedford went 9-for-14 to rack up 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, Tedford now owns an excellent 46.5% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Sommerfield, who posted four points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Haslett has already played their next contest (against Mason), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Frankenmuth, they are taking a road trip to take on Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 68.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
