Volleyball Game Preview: Riverside Rangers vs. Fabens Wildcats

The Riverside Rangers will square off against the Fabens Wildcats at 6:35 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Riverside didn't have quite enough to beat Clint and fell 3-2. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Fabens lost 3-0 to Ysleta on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Fabens took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-17.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Fabens, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-10.

Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Fabens in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
