If Selma was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Tulare Union on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shafter Generals on Saturday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Selma saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriela Pena, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Selma's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Shafter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Selma will take on Sanger West at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Shafter, they will square off against Tulare Union at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
