Football Recap: Chatham Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chatham Central extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were beaten by the North Moore Mustangs 48-14. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Chatham Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brooks Albright threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards.

As for North Moore, the win got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The critical scores for North Moore came from Matthew Sanchez, Micah Morrison, Martez Johnson, Brady Atkinson, Stryker Murray, and Joseph Dunn.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will face off against North Stokes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Moore, they will square off against Seaforth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
