Baseball Recap: Nonnewaug Chiefs vs. Seymour Wildcats

Nonnewaug was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seymour Wildcats. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Chiefs, who until this contest were averaging 3.38 runs allowed.

Tyler DiElsi was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
