Softball Recap: Windsor Warriors vs. Berlin Redcoats

Windsor extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 16-4 to the Berlin Redcoats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redcoats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Hannah O made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

As for Berlin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

On Berlin's side, Julia Matan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Matan has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Peyton Nadeau, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Coming up, Windsor will be playing at home against Wethersfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Berlin, they will venture away from home to face off against Maloney at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
