Phoebus is a perfect 8-0 against Heritage since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Phantoms will venture away from home to face off against the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Phoebus is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Hampton on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Phantoms were outmatched by the Crabbers and fell 43-7. The Phantoms were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of Menchville.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Phoebus, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Phoebus against Heritage when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phantoms since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
