Basketball Recap: Magnolia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hope last Friday, Magnolia came back down to earth. The Magnolia Panthers were dealt a 64-32 defeat at the hands of the Camden Fairview Cardinals on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 49-45.

Magnolia dropped their record down to 16-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Camden Fairview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

Magnolia and Camden Fairview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Magnolia will take on De Queen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 83 places (90 vs. 7). Similarly, Camden Fairview (ranked 72nd) will meet Nashville (ranked 16th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
