Basketball Recap: Pennsbury Takes a Loss

If Pennsbury was feeling good fresh off their 68-41 takedown of Harry S. Truman last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pennsbury Falcons took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bensalem Fighting Owls. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-39 back in December of 2024.

Bensalem's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amir Drummond, who posted 17 points. Aidan Mayfield was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Pennsbury has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Bensalem, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pennsbury has already played their next game (against Neshaminy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bensalem will face off against Harry S. Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bensalem is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
