Iroquois came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the East Aurora/Holland Blue Devils 47-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Redhawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 520th).
Iroquois' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justus Kleitz, who threw for 315 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per attempt. What's more, Kleitz racked up 152.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Iroquois' leading receiver Nick Ciancio was Kleitz's top target yet again, picking up 138 receiving yards and three scores.
Iroquois' record is now 7-1. As for East Aurora/Holland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
