Recap: Winston County Yellowjackets vs. Addison Bulldogs
The Winston County Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the Addison Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Winston County secured a 45-41 W over Addison. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winston County.
Winston County found their leader in underclassman Lynleigh Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Cobb has scored at least a third of Winston County's points. Another player making a difference was Lizzy Bass, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Winston County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season. As for Addison, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winston County will play host again and welcome Carbon Hill, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carbon Hill is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Addison won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Bernard Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th.
