Basketball Game Preview: Waverly Warriors vs. Everett Vikings

The Waverly Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Everett Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waverly will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Monday, Waverly made easy work of Jackson and carried off a 74-48 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Everett was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 54-53 to Grand Ledge.

Everett's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Waverly, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Waverly beat Everett 67-58 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waverly since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
