Softball Preview: West Campus Warriors vs. Fairfield Falcons

The West Campus Warriors will square off against the Fairfield Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

West Campus will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Foothill on Monday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Analisa Mederos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Mederos was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sophia Quiroz was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
