Baseball Recap: Anderson Find Success

Anderson won against Milford on Wednesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Raptors walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Walnut Hills Eagles. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Connor Fecher tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Rosiello, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Anderson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Glen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Anderson's record now sits at 9-7. As for Walnut Hills, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Looking ahead, Anderson will venture away from home to challenge Madeira at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raptors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walnut Hills, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Western Hills at 5:00 p.m.
