Baseball Recap: Emery/Weiner Comes Up Short

Emery/Weiner came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Tomball Kings Homeschool, falling 14-4. Emery/Weiner was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Tomball Kings earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

Tanner Duffey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Emery/Weiner's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Tomball Kings, their record now sits at 9-12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emery/Weiner will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lutheran South Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Tomball Kings, they will head out to face off against Westbury Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
