Basketball Game Preview: Seven Lakes Spartans vs. Alief Elsik Rams

The Seven Lakes Spartans will face off against the Alief Elsik Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Seven Lakes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games.

Last Friday, Seven Lakes took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-45 victory over Cinco Ranch. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Alief Elsik hadn't done well against Alief Taylor recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Alief Elsik came out on top against Alief Taylor by a score of 59-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Alief Elsik's win came from a few key players Seven Lakes will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Timothy Ofesi, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Joshua Smith was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Alief Elsik's win bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Seven Lakes, they pushed their record up to 30-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
