Volleyball Recap: High Point Christian Academy Comes Up Short

High Point Christian Academy lost against Davidson Day back in September of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Kinslee Britton paced High Point Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Britton also shared the team's lead in assists with Landyn Smith: they picked up four each. Finally, Natalie Wilkinson kept High Point Christian Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Leading Davidson Day to victory were Lilly Marinelli and Reese Mitchell. Marinelli had seven digs and two aces, while Mitchell had eight digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Marinelli a new career-high.

High Point Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Davidson Day, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

High Point Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Asheville Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Davidson Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against GRACE Christian on the 9th.
