Baseball Recap: Oldham County Takes a Loss

If Oldham County was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Grayson County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colonels took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Oldham Mustangs on Monday. The Colonels have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Oldham County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Edsell, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Oldham County's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for North Oldham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Oldham County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
