Football Recap: Trousdale County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Trousdale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 21-14 to the Jackson County Blue Devils. The Yellowjackets lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 28-0 score last time.

Despite the loss, Trousdale County still got an impressive performance from Aiden Link, who threw for 192 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 66 yards.

Jackson County found their leader in sophomore Colt Loftis, who threw for 205 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes. Loftis' passing game has become a key predictor of the Blue Devils' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Trousdale County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Jackson County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Trousdale County will square off against Gordonsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Jackson County, they will face off against Cannon County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
