Baseball Game Preview: Center Moriches Red Devils vs. Pierson Whalers

For the second straight game, Center Moriches will face off against Pierson. The Red Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Whalers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Center Moriches proved they can win big last Monday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Pierson 8-7.

Max Rayburn was incredible, firing off two home runs and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Meadows, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Pierson is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. As for Center Moriches, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Center Moriches skirted past Pierson 8-7 when the teams last played on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
