Volleyball Recap: Bunker Eagles vs. Eminence Redwings
After flying high against Viburnum on Thursday, Bunker came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Eminence Redwings on Saturday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redwings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-8, 25-20.
Kara Barton paced Bunker's offense, picking up seven kills. Barton got some help from Hadley Martin and her 11 assists. Finally, Barton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Bunker has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-21-4 record this season. As for Eminence, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-13-1.
Bunker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eminence, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Ellington on the 27th.
