Volleyball Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Pleasant Plains Cardinals. The Boilermakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bailey VanWinkle paced Kewanee's offense, picking up four kills. VanWinkle got some help from Kendyl Deblieck and her five assists. Claire Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pleasant Plains can attribute much of their success to Kendal Guthrie, who had ten digs and three assists.

Kewanee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pleasant Plains, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Kewanee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against West Prairie on the 30th. As for Pleasant Plains, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Limestone on the 30th.
