Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Atlantic Christian's Winning Streak

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Atlantic Christian's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Micah Herring was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

With the loss, Atlantic Christian broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6. As for Palm Beach Gardens, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic Christian will face off against Glades Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Sharks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they will challenge Forest Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
