Softball Recap: Baldwin Indians vs. Marianna Bulldogs

Baldwin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Marianna Bulldogs out 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for Baldwin who now have nine in a row.

Shaylen Bryd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rylan Gray, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amiyah Jones, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.
