Basketball Recap: Caledonia's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Caledonia's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 70-59 victory over the Mount Horeb Vikings. The win was all the more spectacular given the Fighting Scots' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 295th in Michigan, while the Vikings are ranked fifth in Wisconsin).

Caledonia's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Mount Horeb, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caledonia will face off against Mona Shores at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Horeb, they will challenge Milton at 12:40 p.m. on January 25th. Mount Horeb knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Milton likes a good challenge.
