Volleyball Recap: Woodruff Takes a Loss

Woodruff lost against Chapman back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolverines came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Woodruff ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-19.

Jensyn Turner paced Woodruff's offense, picking up eight kills. Turner really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13.

Woodruff now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Chapman, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Woodruff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Union County on the 14th. As for Chapman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Broome on the 14th.
