Linden came tearing into Friday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bret Harte Bullfrogs with a sharp 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Katie Schallberger made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Olivia Fears was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Isaacson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Linden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bret Harte only posted a batting average of .222.

Linden's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Bret Harte, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
