Softball Recap: Long Beach Comes Up Short

Long Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Hancock Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Tuesday.

Long Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Hancock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Long Beach is set to take on their familiar foe West Harrison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hancock will square off against rival Picayune at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
