Basketball Recap: Buckland Takes a Loss

Buckland lost against Napaaqtugmiut back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Buckland Sissauni fell just short of the Napaaqtugmiut Lynx by a score of 57-54. The matchup marked the Sissauni's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ivan Jones was his usual excellent self, putting up 21 points for Napaaqtugmiut. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Caleb Sage, who posted 12 points.

Buckland's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Napaaqtugmiut, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Napaaqtugmiut beat Buckland by a score of 65-54 on Wednesday.
