Basketball Recap: Milford Extends Winning Streak to Four

Milford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 43-31 win over the Walnut Springs Hornets on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

It was another big night for Jaycee Rigsby, who posted 14 points along with five assists and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amiya Smith, who put up ten points and five boards.

Milford pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points over those games. As for Walnut Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

As of now, neither Milford nor Walnut Springs have any future games scheduled.
