Softball Recap: Middle Creek Finds Home Field Redemption Against Green Level

There's no place like home for Middle Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Green Level Gators by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won eight in a row.

Hailey Hoeft was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, Kennedy Johnson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kristen Norton, who went 3-for-4 with four runs.

Middle Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Middle Creek's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Green Level, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.
