Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Founders Classical Academy

Founders Classical Academy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 32-15 victory over the YES Prep Northwest Hawks. This was a revenge game for the Voyagers: when they faced off against the Hawks back in January, they had to take a 30-26 loss.

Founders Classical Academy found their leader in sophomore Delilah Leitzel, who posted 13 points.

Founders Classical Academy pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.5 points per game. As for YES Prep Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Founders Classical Academy will take on Faith West Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Founders Classical Academy's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Faith West Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for YES Prep Northwest, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harmony School of Advancement at 6:45 p.m. on February 14th.
