Football Game Preview: Pleasant Ridge vs. Troy

Troy will challenge Pleasant Ridge on the road on Friday. Troy is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.

Troy took care of business in their home opener. They had enough points to win and then some against Valley Heights last Friday, taking their match 27-12.

Pleasant Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 30-12 victory over Jefferson County North.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. In their win, Pleasant Ridge relied heavily on senior Colton Comer, who rushed for 186 yards and 1 touchdown; a key strategy for Troy will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
