Softball Game Preview: Westwood Redhawks vs. Spring Valley Vikings

Westwood is 0-7 against Spring Valley since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Westwood will host Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Westwood is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Saluda, falling 13-7.

Griffin Ella made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Azaria Belton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Spring Valley lost 20-6 to Midland Valley on Friday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pheonix Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Wright also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another was Allie Pritchard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Spring Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
