Preview: Southeast Whitfield County Raiders vs. Cedartown Bulldogs
After two games on the road, Southeast Whitfield County is heading back home. They will take on the Cedartown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Southeast Whitfield County suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a rough 86-63 loss at the hands of Ridgeland. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cedartown won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Central, falling 66-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cedartown has scored all season.
Southeast Whitfield County bumped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Cedartown, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Southeast Whitfield County won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, slipping by Cedartown 51-50.
