Basketball Recap: Muhlenberg Takes a Loss

Muhlenberg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Dauphin Rams on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (57), the Muhls still had to take the loss.

Central Dauphin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jelani Easter led the charge by going 8-for-13 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Easter has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Wayne Fletcher II was another key player, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards.

Muhlenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Central Dauphin, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Muhlenberg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Dauphin, they will take on Cumberland Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central Dauphin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
