Volleyball Recap: North Knox Takes a Loss

North Knox lost against Washington back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hatchets. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hatchets 25-20 in the first set.

North Knox started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 27-25, 25-16, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Kennedy Barnard, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

North Knox's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Washington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Knox will head out to face off against Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sullivan at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
