Soccer Game Preview: Sonoma Valley vs. Roseland University Prep

Sonoma Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They beat American Canyon by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Dragons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Roseland University Prep waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eagles an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Knights , who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Roseland University Prep pushed their record up to 7-2-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three matchups. As for Sonoma Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10-5.
