Baseball Game Preview: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Everett Alvarez Eagles

The Gilroy Mustangs will face off against the Everett Alvarez Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Gilroy lost 11-5 to Lincoln on Friday.

Jayson Quezada was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Abram Valdez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Everett Alvarez's offense. They came up short against Stevenson on Thursday, falling 19-0.

Everett Alvarez's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Gilroy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Gilroy got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2016 against Everett Alvarez by a conclusive 11-4 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
