The Cordova Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Danville Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cordova will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Monday, Cordova beat Cullman 6-1.

Camden Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Ella Grace Madison was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Vance, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Cordova hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Danville). Everything went their way against Tharptown on Monday as Danville made off with a 16-5 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won three matches in a row.
Izzy Guest was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Guest was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. She also put up two home runs, which were her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Reed, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Kirsten Robinson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Danville pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Cordova, their record is now 6-1.
