Soccer Recap: NorthPointe Christian Comes Up Short

NorthPointe Christian lost against Kalamazoo Christian back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Comets. While losing is never fun, NorthPointe Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Kalamazoo Christian are ranked 45th).

NorthPointe Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Kalamazoo Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NorthPointe Christian will host Belding at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kalamazoo Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackett Catholic Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
